OLTC
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY CAI HANYUN AKA DA BIAN YU!Sorry han couldnt celebrate for you cause im having camp. still love you girl!I'm back from OLTC camp, i'll have to say honestly that I'm not very motivated for this OLTC camp. I believe most of us are like that, that is why this time round, OLTC is quite a bad one compared to last year i guessed even though clandestine was not very united last year. I dint really have any good sleep throughout these 4 days. PLUS, i've forgotten to bring my sleeping bag along, dumb right?! but fortunately, kindest crystalla shared her sleeping bag with me ;Dwe had a long long night on the first day, slept at 5am and woke up at 10 am. Completed half of our maze, looks really complicated.Felt like a walking zombie, of course we couldnt complain to anyone else cause we couldnt be any more fatigue than the organisers themselves. Seeing them slogging like this, it reminds me of camp inspiration!..But of course, it was inspiration not a training camp. The participants were enjoying and not being 'tortured' like us... BUT, i really do have a opposing point here. They should arrange Final Clash at night, not to mention Scrub the Deck.. Since we're going through what the freshmen are going through then we should be put in the same situation too when freshmen are gonna play final clash at night. It's definitely not gonna be as tiring as playing in the hot sun at 11 am. =.= i really got burnt there, painful. Plus, maybe they could organise just a day for us to do the maze and the slot for doing maze on the second day could be used for inviting guests for some motivating talks. It's just the people that are not motivated i guessed cause i'm not motivated too..some talk to make us have some sense of belonging over there, for a good cause and not make us feel like being tortured over there. This would be a real training camp though. Cause through this 'training camp', i've only learnt how to complete a maze and prepared to expreience what freshmen would go through. This is one of the most unprepared(myself) camp i've ever been to...Even though the organisers were expreienced, but the participants in OLTC were not. They were freshies even though they were capped with the flamboyant name ' leaders', Nontheless, they were inexpreienced leaders. We needed some real training to be initiative and confident. They came with high hopes, hoping that we'll have sense of urgency, intiative, motivating and confidence but they went back with great disappointment indeed. Expectingly, we got trashing from them. I felt quite guilty cause they really slogged through 4 days being tired,they barely had enough sleep and still have to deal with us being so insensitive and inconsiderate. Tears actually welled up in my eyes, weird. I had to say they really put in their efforts for this camp though, no camps were perfect. JIAYOU for week 0!! quite excited to meet my freshmen! :Di miss sixies! ;(
